Privacy policy

How we collect, use and look after your personal information.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Small Business Websites is a service of Relevance & Intent (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through smallbusinesswebsites.nz, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

  • Details you give us when you fill in a form or contact us: your name, business name, phone number, email address, website address and anything you write in your message.
  • Calls and texts you make to us, including your phone number.
  • How you use this website, collected by analytics tools: pages visited, the device and browser you use, roughly where you are, and how you arrived (for example, from a Google search or an ad).

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry or call you back.
  • To provide our services if you become a client.
  • To understand how this website is used, so we can improve it and measure our advertising.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without asking.

Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to record how visitors use the site. Microsoft Clarity may record how you move around and click on pages, but it is set up not to capture what you type into forms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Where your information is stored

Form enquiries are saved to a Google Sheet and sent to us by email using Google Workspace. Analytics data is held by Google and Microsoft. These providers may store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We use reputable providers with security protections comparable to those required under New Zealand law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for any period required by law. If you’d like us to delete your details sooner, just ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. To do this, call us on 021 807 829 or use our contact form. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
